We will lose our homes in:

Here you will find pictures of our homes along with a little bit of information about the Owners.
You will notice as you look at some of the pictures of our homes that these homes are not meant to be re-located.

Unit #: 201
Family Members: Brian, Connie and 2 children
Purchased Home: 2006
Real Estate Value: $119,000
Additional Comments: We purchased this home in 2006. The owner watched us totally gut this home and rebuild it to what it is today.

Unit #: 210
Family Members: Margaret and Al
Purchased Home: 5 1/2 yrs ago
Real Estate Value: $54,000
Additional Comments: We bought unit #210 - Oct 31, 2003 as our retirement house. Margaret is on disability - Al was planning on complete retirement in 2010, but I guess that's history. As an amputee I will be forced to continue driving taxi. I thought I would retire at age 74 - DOB - April 01, 1936. We have had no street lights at this end of the park for a long time. It is a safety hazard and unsafe to walk alone after dark.

Unit #: n/a
Family Members: Jennifer
Purchased Home: 4 1/2 yrs ago
Real Estate Value: $40,000
Additional Comments: I moved here to have a better life. Due to my disability, my daughter Sallie wanted me to move to St. Catharines. I put my HOME up for SALE. A couple were coming over to see it the same day we received our EVICTION NOTICE!!. So much for that idea. Now I can't sell and can't afford to move. Like a lot of the tenants I am still making mortgage payments. What can we do??

Unit #: 15
Family Members: Robert and Judy
Purchased Home: 2yrs 4mths ago
Real Estate Value: $42,800
Additional Comments: We bought this mobile home because it is 2 minutes away from my ill and aging parents so we could be close to help them. We also purchased because it is affordable and due to little yard maintenance would be a perfect retirement home. We still owe on our home and losing it will result in extreme financial problems for us.

Purchased Home: 7 yrs ago

Unit #: 203
Family Members: Derek and Elizabeth
Purchased Home: 5 yrs ago
Real Estate Value: $49,000
Additional Comments: We purchased our unit 5 years ago. We came here because we had family in the park and felt it would be nice to close to them. We took all of our equity we had from the house we sold to buy and renovate our mobile home. We as others did a complete interior makeover. Money ran short before we could do the exterior. Future plans were to start a business in the the falls and retire in this park someday. Now we have no equity for a business and no place to live. Marineland because they terminated our lease has inevitably has taken away our equity and our future.

Unit #: 25
Family Members: Paula
Purchased Home: 4 yrs
Real Estate Value: $55,000
Additional Comments: This was suppose to be my retirement home. My life's savings and more were invested in this home. Marineland has wiped out all of my collatoral. The only way I'll be able to live (afford) will be subsidized housing. Recession - Another Fat Cat forcing tax payers to pick up the tab while they rake in more profit.

Additional Comments: In Aug. 2008 we were offered $50,000 for our home. We turned it down because, #1-We love what we have done to our home. #2-What can you purchase for $50,000?, #3-We were told there was a grandfather clause in this park, we decided we would stay until we decided to leave on our own terms.

Real Estate Value: $27,000
Additional Comments: I'm a 45 yr old widow with a small dog. We paid cash, my widows pension and felt we really found a sizeable home. We've painted, met everyone in the park. All greet you with a smile, true heartfelt. After 14 months approx. I received this eviction and had to cancel $20,000 in renovations that I had planned. Now we have nothing. I pay $415 pad fees.
